Sony sells 70 million PSP units worldwide, still firmly in DS’ rearview mirror

Sony’s PlayStation Vita is patently the company’s handheld of tomorrow, though it’s the PlayStation Portable that’s being credited with the assist. The PSP has been the flagship device for Sony given Dec 12, 2004, as good as during the time upon the market, the grand sum of 70 million have been changed globally. That’s the series belted out here during E3, which sounds officious ginormous during initial listen. Unfortunately, that’s nowhere nearby the 100 million DS units which Nintendo had shipped… behind in 2009. It’s value referring to which this sum includes the strange PSP-1000, the slimmer / lighter PSP-2000, the not-too-different PSP-3000 as good as the critically panned PSP go, as good as we’re guessing the Vita will in the future be lumped in here as good during the little point.
